Mondays ~ Intercollegiate ~ Shotgun, November 7th

Latest update!

The golf course and golf shop will be closed Mondays throughout the winter months. Players may call on Sunday regarding tee times or changes for the following week. Students, Faculty/Staff, and Alumni may call on Sundays at 6:30 am to book a Thursday tee time.

Parking will be limited at the golf course. Additional parking available at the driving range or near the tennis courts northeast of the driving range.


Open 9-Hole Shotgun, Sunday, Nov 7 @ 2:00 pm

Afternoon shotgun will commence following conclusion of the Intercollegiate event. Spectators welcome to come out and cheer on the Cardinal Women prior to play! Remember to set your clocks back ~ Daylight Savings Time.

Welcome to our new General Manager, Shannon Donlon


I am pleased to announce that we have hired Shannon Sweeney Donlon as the new General Manager and Head Golf Professional for the Stanford Golf Course.
 
Born and raised in San Jose, California, Shannon is a PGA Class A Member serving the membership of The Olympic Club for the past four years. Prior to her post at the Club, Shannon served Poppy Hills, Poppy Ridge, and the Northern California Golf Association for six years in several roles including First Assistant Professional, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Head Golf Professional.
 
Shannon is currently active on the Northern California Professional Golf Association (NCPGA) Education Committee and is responsible for launching the "Teachers Teaching Teachers" (13) education forum for fellow colleagues in the Association. Shannon's competitive golf career includes 4 years of amateur competition ( '92-'95) and two years of professional competition ('96-'97) on The Player West and Futures Tours.
 
Prior to golf Shannon played collegiate volleyball and softball at De Anza College in Cupertino and earned a softball scholarship to Hawaii Pacific University. Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University in 2000, completed PGA certification 2002, attended The Player -Teacher forums 2006, 2008, 2010 and just recently completed a golf instructor training program at The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).
 
Shannon is currently living in San Francisco with her husband, Paul and three stepchildren Hilary (20), Lennox (17), and Stuart (16).
 
Shannon’s first day with Stanford will be July 16, 2010. Please help me welcome Shannon to the Stanford family.
